Hi! I'm
Unika.
I design for screens, for spaces, and for the little moments that make an interface feel like someone made it.
I grew up in Nepal, surrounded by carved wood, color and craft. Studying visual communication design gave me the tools to work with what I'd always noticed.
That thread still runs through my work. A branding for Maricha, a Newari fusion bakery cafe. Posters for the Yomari Festival. And my thesis, Patterns of Place, where 100+ visitors at Imagine RIT turned Nepal's carved motifs into keepsakes of their own.
Since then I've spent 15 months designing a VR training system for Plug Power, alongside game developers, instructional designers and 3D artists.
It started with patterns.

When I'm not designing.

WATCHING
